If you haven't heard about Newsela yet, you need to check it out. It's about building reading comprehension with non-fiction, specifically news articles! There are new articles every day and they come straight from great news resources. You can assign articles to classes and get their results.( if you have the pro edition). Students can choose which lexile level to read the article at. If it's too hard, choose and easier level and vice versa. I love that some of the articles come with questions for the kids to answer.
