Constitution Day
Constitution day is September 17! Here are some resources for you...

Check out this one about the Constitution. It's a Despacito parody.
If you're looking for a close reading activity, here is one from Fifth in the Middle on TPT. It's perfect for grades 4-7.

Here is a lesson you can do.
Start with the constitution!
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Then use a word cloud generator such as wordclouds.com or wordle. They need to choose 7-9 key words. The words chosen the most will be the largest.
Using the largest key words, they can then create a summary sentence. They should post that sentence on a padlet. Make sure to sign in and create your Padlet first. You can sign in with your Google account. The you will have all their work in one place.
